Established in 1995, Catanger Llamas is in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, often referred to as the county of ‘squires and spires’ with idyllic villages and beautiful undulating countryside, unspoilt and blissfully quiet.
We don’t just trek, we also breed llamas and during the summer months you can visit our mums and babies. Inside our log cabin visitor centre, you can see a range of goods we make from our llama fibre and sell alongside many other llama related gifts that will remind you of your visit to Catanger.
“If you love animals and the outdoors this is an experience you don’t want to miss. I’ve fallen in love with a 6′, brown eyed male It is a calming experience all round, with a touch of natures excitement thrown in. The Llamas are very well behaved and they seem to enjoy the adventure too. Mary and her staff are very knowledgeable and no matter how many questions are asked they take this all in their stride. I didn’t feel rushed once we had finished, actually I didn’t want to leave at the end. I loved it so much, I’ve already booked to go again at Christmas to get my next Llama fix and I’ve adopted a Llama too.”
Everyone should do it!
“This is an experience that everyone should have. Although some distance from Towcester, since we live in Wales, we were kindly given the experience by family who had previously been there and what an enjoyable day !!!!!!! We could not have in any way anticipated the pleasure at seeing these wonderful animals. Just remarkable! And not to put too fine a point on it a life enhancing experience Truly !! And as for Sarah our guide The whole journey was made so much more by her friendliness and intelligence and love of these beautiful creatures. In all if anyone gets the chance to go there JUST DO IT!”
